The Department of Transportation in Singkawang still manages its own assets manually so that it is difficult to monitor and control the assets, particularly immovable assets that the location must be known. Therefore, it needs a web-based Geographic Information System to manage and map the assets of the Singkawang Department of Transportation to increase better public services. The research stages of the Geographic Information Systems for asset mapping starts from problem definition, data collection, system analysis, database design, application development and finally to application testing. From the testing results, the functional testing showed that all system functions were able to run successfully. The system interface testing demonstrated that 79.98% of users rated the proposed Geographic Information System “Good” and “Very Good” category range. Finally, it can be concluded that the web-based Geographic Information System can manage and map the assets of the Singkawang Department of Transportation well and efficiently.
