In the survival data, subjects are expected to experience an event over follow-up. For instance, for the some patients of COVID 19, the event of interest will be death or any other events. When multiple events occur as the same time, the events are termed as competing risks. In this paper, Competing Risks model (CRM) via Cox model for simulated Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus (MERS-CoV) will be used. The performance of the CRM via semiparametric Cox model will be investigated based on the simulation data. A major advantage of the CRM is its simplicity and it can be easily implemented by using R software.
