It is quite known that the Concrete-Filled Steel Tubular (CFST) columns are generally utilized in construction owing to their superior strength, fire resistance and ductility properties. Nonetheless, there are still uncertainties regarding the efficiency of CFST column possess corrosion to the steel tubes which devise wider deployment problematic. The impact of local corrosion and surface area corrosion on CFST performance must be investigated thoroughly. A reflection in corrosion is found in the appropriate models of steel tube due to its artificial notches. Based on multitudinous literature evaluations, this critical study discusses the functions of CFST columns in the process of varying conditions and different strengthening procedures.
