Aim :An existing microstrip antenna's return loss is compared to that of a newly designed, tiny, dual-band ring-shaped antenna for usage in the k band area. Methods and materials: The antenna was built using a ring-shaped construction, and it was designed on a 1.6 mm thick flexible substrate of widely available FR4 Epoxy (4.4) material. Ansoft HFSS version 13.0 software was used for the performance analysis. G Power, a statistical method, can forecast a sample size of forty with an accuracy of 80 percentage points. The VSWR was determined to be 0.9, and the return loss was estimated to be-25.25 dB at 22.0GHz and-25.64 dB at 24.4GHz. There was a statistically significant improvement in RF performance (p>0.05). In summary, the CPW dual-band ring-shaped antenna outperforms a microstrip antenna in terms of return loss and VSWR.
