A sound-absorbing composite made of fiber from rice husk ash (RHA) and bagasse was produced using glutinous glue as a composite. The sound absorption coefficient (SAC) was measured according to ASTM E-1050 by the impedance tube method. The mechanical properties of natural fiber composites, such as thickness, in the bending test were analyzed for all samples according to ASTM D790M uses a three-point loading method. Statistical comparison of experimental data on mechanical properties of bending strength was carried out using four-way ANOVA consisting of glutinous glue, composition, compaction, and thickness with the aid of IBM SPSS Statistics version 26 Software. This study investigated the effect of noise absorption reduction and the mechanical properties of the bending strength of the composite. The results showed that the best sound absorption specimen was made with 70% bagasse and 30% RHA composite content, 10% glutinous glue, compaction 3:4, when pressed with a temperature in the mould of about 100 degrees Celsius, pressing time for 15 minutes, thickness 1.5 cm, the highest noise absorption peak at a frequency of 4.8 kHz with SAC is α = 0.58, bending test 4.98 MPa. The specimens are getting denser and thicker, the sound absorption is getting smaller, and the bending strength of the material is low. SAC can be achieved by selecting a fiber material with suitable physical properties.
