The problem of mechanical wear in cement mills is one of the main problems in the cement industry, which costs cement manufacturers a lot of money. In this paper a modeling of the abrasion uncoated and coated lining by tungsten carbide nanoparticles of the cement mill in Kufa cement factory. This study was carried out using the DEM program for estimating the wear rate with fix the recent external effective normal and tangential forces and energies. The results showed that there are clear improvements in the wear resistance of the lining after the coating process, where the improvement rate in the abrasion rate reached 79%.
