Lathe machine is a general-purpose device which is utilized for machining different workpieces. In lathe machines, we can do distinctive operations. It is commonly utilized within the mechanical field. It makes the work simpler and sorted out. It is simple to introduce and simple to work on it. In today’s situation, a high-quality finished product is required and its production time should also be minimal. To attain this, as per necessity, process parameters have to be changed, which in turn requires data with respect to the ideal input parameter values that will optimize the target. In this paper, review work has been carried ou t related to various workpiece materials used, techniques employed for DOE, various process parameters considered, optimization of process parameters has been summarized. This work may serve as prepared data for the ensuing analysis and would include a rare database related to the inquiry about regions utilizing lathe machines.
