This article discusses the issues of the current state and trends in the development of agriculture in the mountainous regions of the Republic of Tajikistan. The analysis of the current ecological state of the agriculture of the republic was carried out, the institutional aspects of ensuring ecological agriculture, as well as the main ways of greening the agriculture of the republic, were studied, the issues of the reasonable use of mountain territories, the uniqueness of the natural and climatic resources of mountain territories in the creation of "ecological agriculture", a factor analysis of opportunities for the development of ecological agriculture in the mountainous regions of the Republic of Tajikistan. A comprehensive assessment of the current state and development trends of mountain agriculture in the Republic of Tajikistan is given, taking into account the designation of the main factors and prerequisites for the formation and development of a market for environmentally friendly products based on the development of institutional frameworks for regulating environmental and economic relations in the food market, the prospects of which are confirmed by an econometric factorial analysis of development. ecological agriculture in the region. The prerequisites for the formation of ecological agriculture in the mountainous regions of the republic, the development of the production of ecologically clean food products (potato growing, horticulture, viticulture and pasture animal husbandry) are generalized.
