The emphasis on the objectives of learning mathematics in secondary schools is oriented to the PISA standard. The main obstacle experienced by teachers and students, especially in Bengkulu City schools, is the limited availability of problems for practice so that the achievement of the learning objectives required is not maximized. The availability of instruments presented by the OECD refers to problems that were not yet contextual for Bengkulu students. The purpose of this research was to construct PISA-based math problems with Tabot Bengkulu context that is valid and practical. The research was conducted referring to the Tesmer model with preliminary and formative evaluation. The study involved 12 respondents, namely eight grade students of middle school in Bengkulu City. The data collection instruments were in the form of validity sheets and practical questionnaires. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study obtained is as many as 5 essay problems PISA based with the Tabot Bengkulu context that met the valid and quite practical criteria. The description of the results of the small-scale test showed that the reasoning abilities of students in the low category are 7 students (58.33%), 3 students were moderate (25.00%), and the high category was 2 students (16.67%).
