This study is an ex-post facto study with a quantitative approach that aims to determine the effect of interest in learning mathematics on mathematics learning achievement of eighth grade students of junior high school in Abepura. The population in this study was 1,107 students, while the minimum number of samples calculated by the Slovin formula was 294 students, and the sample in this study was 295 students who were taken using the proportional cluster random sampling technique. The technique used to collect data in this study is a test and non-test technique. The data in this study are quantitative data obtained from the results of filling out a mathematics learning interest questionnaire and mathematics learning achievement test. The data analysis used to test the hypothesis is simple linear regression analysis. The conclusion of this study is that there is a positive influence of interest in learning mathematics on mathematics learning achievement of eighth grade students of junior high school in Jayapura, Papua.
