This research aims to determine the impact of learning mathematical modeling in visual on linear inequality in one variable on mathematical perceptions of secondary school students. The subjects of this research were 27 students of the 7th grade-student of SMP Adabiyah Palembang. The mathematical perception indicator that was researched was the view of mathematical use in life and mathematics interest. The student’s mathematical perception was seen by analyzing the questionnaire data and the interview as the basic data and observation as secondary data. The result of the questionnaire showed that students’ perception improves as follows: 25,93% of students have a very good perception, 59,26% of students have a good perception, 14,81% of students have sufficient perception, and 0% of students have poor perception.
