Education has an important role in creating humans and preparing a qualified generation in the future. As one of the main gates expanding the mission as the main foundation prepares qualified humans, education has a mission to perform the process of granting knowledge, skill, and character. An education school has a facilitator in the learning and charter activity process. The learning process applied in the school is never unnoticed by the study. The prerequisite of the study must be centered on the children. Child-centered learning is a learning system that points to the role of the students while the process of learning and the teacher only as facilitator, supervision, and the leader of the learning process. A child-centered learning approach can also raise awareness of the child’s environment. As the environmental problem is known, one results from a lack of awareness of environmental concerns, such as the damaging nature of plants or trees, garbage littering, wasteful use of clean water, and other environmental slights. Therefore, the expected goal of this research is to cultivate an awareness of environmental care as early as possible. The method used in this research is the deductive method of analysis. The mixed-method approach is complete and synergistic data based on a separate quantitative and qualitative data analysis. This child-centered learning has proved to increase the awareness of the environment, which is seen when it is not yet accomplished, centers on child care in undeveloped categories. It seems that out of 40 students, the average score is two or in a category starting to develop (MB). After child-centered learning has been accomplished, environmental concern attitude is in an excellent category. It can be seen that from 40 children, the average score is four or in categories developed as expected.
