As a book of guidance for Muslims, the Quran guides humans to have good relations with their God and guides humans in dealing with their environment. The purpose of this research is to know in-depth the views of the Quran regarding the environment. This research is in the form of library research, with the primary sources being the Quran and the books of interpretation (contemporary and classical). At the same time, the secondary sources are scientific books and journals related to the object of this research. The interpretation method used is maud}ui interpretation. The results of this study indicate that the key terms about the environment in the Quran are al-bi>ah, the earth (al-ard}), the whole nature (al-’a>lami>n), stars (al-buru>j), the sky or the universe (al-sama>’), fauna (al-an’a>m or da>bbah), water (ma>’), flora (al-naba>t or al-h{arts), air (al-ri>h}), moon (al-Qamar), sun (al-shams), and mountains (Jabal). The study of Maud}ui’s interpretation of the environmental verse shows four values of environmental education: (1) maintaining environmental cleanliness, (2) maintaining the balance of nature, (3) planting trees for reforestation, (4) maintaining and protecting animals.
