East Nusa Tenggara Province has 72 regional languages recorded (Ministry of Education and Culture, 2020), one of which is Dawan Language, which is commonly used by the people of TTU and TTS districts. Currently, only rural communities develop and use the Dawan language. The Dawan language is becoming extinct due to a lack of learning media and a large number of people who do not know or cannot speak the Dawan language. In this study, a coded website was used as an application coding tool, and the waterfall method was used for system development. The study’s findings include a Dawan language voice translator application that uses mobile-based speech recognition and was tested using black-box testing and Google forms filled out by 12 respondents. So that users can learn Dawan Language more easily with this application, users only need to say the word they want to translate, and the system detects the spoken language to be translated.
