Taking into account the heat exchange process leads to the increasing of the obtained positive displacement machine characteristic accuracy during mathematical modelling process, this is especially necessary for the vacuum pumps’ modelling. Mathematical model of oil free screw vacuum pump is presented based on energy conservation law and equation of state. Features of heat exchange process in screw vacuum pump in comparison with screw compressor are considered. The criteria equations, described the heat-transfer coefficient between the medium and the surfaces formed the working chamber walls, are presented. Calculation of heat exchange area (case and rotor surfaces) with working medium (air) is carried out. Relationship of pumping speed vs vacuum pump inlet pressure is obtained.
