Parasitic infection by nematode is a problem in ruminants with a high prevalence which causes a significant decrease in production. Anthelmintics is believed to control cases of parasitic infection but if the drug is used continuously for a long period, it can cause resistance so that it become a serious threat to livestock production. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of herbal plants of jackfruit leaves as an in vitro cure for nematode so that they can be used as an effective and safe alternative as anthelmintics against nematode. Parameters measured for the in vitro test of adult worms were the percentage of adult worm deaths due to deworming extracts on observation every one hours until all worms died. Observations were made to determine the time it takes to extract herbal plants to kill worms. Observation of the motility of worms every one hours until all worms die. Worms are said to die when their motility is lost and the color fades, does not move when shaken vigorously or when immersed in warm water 50oC. The percentage of mortality reaches 60%. The large percentage of worms killed in the herbal extract treatment shows that this extract has anthelmintics activity.
