We solved the diffusion equation for the hadronic component using the successive approximation method and we derived the vertical intensity of the muons and neutrinos produced from the hadron fluxes. We discussed the problem of prompt muons and prompt neutrinos production in the atmosphere and we compared our results with the data from underground experiments.
