The rapid growth of technologies enables us to disseminate information to everyone around the globe. One of the mediums used is color images. However, there is a certain percentage of people that suffer from color vision deficiency. Those suffering from color vision deficiency may not fully understand the information in color images due to their inability to distinguish colors. Moreover, with the rapid growth of Internet usage during the pandemic, they may miss important information shown on websites or mobile apps due to their inability. Thus, this paper studies the effectiveness of the contrast adjustment function in websites to assist people with color vision deficiency. The project develops a website incorporating a contrast adjustment function that allows web users to adjust the contrast of the images. Thus, web users with color vision deficiency can have a better view of the color images. Subjective and objective evaluations were conducted to evaluate the website’s effectiveness.
