Social networks have been an impactful source of data sharing and resources which is considered the largest base platform in the IT field, specifically Facebook as based on close friend data exchange, and Twitter which shares with larger base, thus it’s not strange that social network has a huge impact on society during natural disasters. This paper is a behavior analytical study to investigate the impact of Facebook and Twitter platforms on people through a comprehensive legacy work to objectify the shortcoming of the recent technologies which led to conducting a theoretical and practical investigation, first methodology is based on the classification of timestamp and scenarios from 2017 to 2020, followed by a mixed-mode evaluation of a survey and intense interview. The mixed-mode method has shown a significant impact which could be classified as a live or dead solution for natural tragedies, 98% of the respondents have strongly agreed on the positive role of social networks. Furthermore, an analysis of the awareness and security measurement level of covid-19 provided by social networks has gained 97% agreement which has a more detailed informative study on the interview which showed the significant impact of social networks. Lastly, an investigation of the challenges of fake news and the effect on the emotional feeling during disaster emergencies leads to misleading 70% of respondents.
