There has been much interest on smart campuses in Higher Education. In Malaysia, we are witnessing the growth of smart campuses slowly. Here, we will briefly discuss attributes of smart campuses within the context of higher education. We also highlight the latest UCSI purpose-built Bandar SpringHill campus and its future smart campus plan. Further, we will highlight the challenges facing countries like Malaysia and poorer nations on the accessibility of digital connectivity. We touch on the changing scenario of higher education and its opportunities and challenges especially the impact of pandemic and other globalization impacts.
