The emphasis on the eleven shifts in the Malaysia Education Development Plan (2013-2025) is to ensure that school excellence can be achieved. Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) is an institution responsible for producing strong school leaders and competent teachers into the national education system, with a focus on quality improvement and support for implementers in schools. In order to strengthen the quality of outcomes and student growth, the main thing that needs to be emphasized is to improve the performance of teachers in implementing the learning and facilitation process including the role and responsibilities of school leaders in ensuring the level of quality of teachers in educating and imparting knowledge that can influence and bring changes to the students. Recognizing the importance of the situation, this study focused on two main variables, namely the instructional leadership of principals and head teachers towards teacher`s work performance by focusing on the dimensions of instructional leadership on teacher`s work performance. The study involved 137 teachers who are teachers in Zone 10 of Kelantan Islamic Foundation (YIK) Religious Secondary School. Correlation analysis showed that there was a significant strong relationship between instructional leadership practices and teacher`s work performance. These findings clearly indicated that instructional leadership practices have contributed to the improvement of teacher`s work performance. This study also showed that the dimensions of academic enforcement and curriculum coordination have a strong relationship with teacher`s work performance. In short, the practice of instructional leadership should be practiced in all schools. This is because the findings of the study clearly showed that these variables serve as a catalyst to the improvement of teacher`s work performance and school academic achievement.
