Most palm oil processing industry also produces jerry cans as packaging for RBD Olein oil products, increasing the sale value of the oil products. The high percentage of defective jerry cans indicates problems in production factors, including humans, machines, methods, and materials. Based on observation results of the production process and interviews with the production party, it is found that the root cause of product defects was a decrease in the performance of the blow molding machine. Machine performance is one of the critical factors in the success of production activities. Efforts to improve the performance of the blow molding machine by analyzing the causes of the decline in engine performance and taking corrective actions that support the increase in engine performance. The failure mode effect analysis (FMEA) method is used to carry out the causes of decreased performance of blow molding machines.
