The COVID-19 outbreak in Indonesia has an impact on all aspects of life, including education. To combat the pandemic, the government has implemented an online learning policy in the field of education. The online learning system was implemented in all regions, including the North Toraja Region, during the pandemic. However, the application of online learning faces numerous challenges, such as limited internet network access because not all areas have a reliable internet connection. As a result, regional mapping of internet network connections is required so that internet connection problems in the online learning process can be addressed prior to carrying out the online learning process. The goal of this research is to better understand the factors that contribute to poor internet connections, which become impediments to online learning activities in the North Toraja region. Online learning activities can be successful if all of the necessary components, including adequate internet access, are in place. Interviews, observation, and testing (test) internet connections in Toraja Utara were used in this study. We can anticipate internet connection problems before engaging in online learning by mapping areas where the network is strong and weak. There are several areas in North Toraja with poor internet connectivity, which impedes the online learning system. As a result, the construction of supporting facilities for internet network access must begin as soon as possible.
