Statistics is often considered a difficult course despite its importance for students in higher education. This current study aims to examine the effect of Edmodo-assisted collaborative learning on students’ statistical reasoning ability and statistics anxiety. It is experimental research with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample in the study involved 40 students selected by cluster sampling, while the instruments included statistical reasoning ability test, statistics anxiety scale, and students’ response scale. These instruments have been tested for their validity and reliability. The results of this study show that, first, collaborative learning assisted by Edmodo increases students’ statistical reasoning ability though the increase was classified as moderate. Second, Edmodo-assisted collaborative learning helps reduce students’ statistics anxiety. In this case, both before and after receiving treatment, students’ statistics anxiety was classified as moderate. Third, students give a positive response to Edmodo-assisted collaborative learning. Taken together, these findings imply that collaborative learning models carried out online, such as with Edmodo, help promote a better learning achievement in statistics lectures.
