One of the problems in the female genital area is a vaginal discharge caused by the growth of the fungus Candida albicans and other bacteria such as E. coli. One of the efforts to prevent vaginal discharge, by using hygiene underwear with an antiseptic treatment. In this study, we made disposable underwear from spun lace cotton fabrics by attaching the extraction of renewable natural resources is miswak (Salvadora persica). The research begins with the extraction of the ingredients of miswak using water with concentrations of 25, 50, 75, and 100 g/L. The extracted material is coated through padding with a pad dry cure at 80% wet pick-up and curing at 110 °C for 3 minutes. The characterizations tested were antimicrobial activity and formaldehyde. For disposable underwear, the result of bacteria inhibition zone E. coli (28-30 mm), S. aureus (29-30 mm), and C. albicans (28-30 mm). Disposable fabrics of miswak have good antibacterial properties for hygiene underwear.
