The capitalization of the price of gold is a profitable investment alternative because of the tendency to rise or remain stable during a crisis. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze people’s interest in gold investment through a narrative review of database search and thematic analysis. It is limited to Indonesian and publication in the last six years (2015- 2020). Furthermore, the electronic database search from Google Scholar, DOAJ, Garuda, and ResearchGate obtained 30 articles, while only 13 fulfilled the criteria to be analyzed. The results showed that gold investment is safer and less risky than stocks and deposits. Over the past 10 years, the price was increased by 117.5% especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. The increasing price of gold is the driving force that influences people’s interest in the investment. Furthermore, it is driven by psychological, knowledge, and loss aversion factors.
