Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang is a university located in Magelang City. Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang has academic system that is always accessed by students, there are MOCA and (KRS). Currently, Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang does not yet have an mobile application that have a functions to facilitate students in accessing academic data and information on student activities. The existing system can only be accessed by a web browser. This study aims to design a user interface and user experience for an academic application for the Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang. By using the UCD method, it emphasizes that the system has a purpose to serve users, not to use certain technologies and not to be an elegant part of programming, user interface requirements must dominate the design of other systems. The results of this study are user interface and user experience designs in academic applications that are attractive to users.
