This study investigated the index of chlorophyll levels, alkaloid levels and stomata character of chili pepper leaves (Capsicum annum L.) grown in substrate of post-gold mining Bombana with manure. This type of experimental study was conducted in the Greenhouse Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics adn Natural Science, Halu Oleo University, using a Complete Random Design (CRD) with four treatments, namely control (without manure), and three treatments of manure (cows, goats, and chickens), each as much as 100g/10kg of post-gold mining soil, and 5 (five repeats). Research parameters include index chlorophyll levels, alkaloid levels, and stomata characters. Data statistically tested using analysis of variance and LSD test continued. The results showed that the leaves of chili pepper plants treated with chicken manure had the highest scores for the index of chlorophyll levels (61.79 CCI), and the stomata character included the number of stomata (16.13), stomata length (88.44 µm) and stomata width (73.85 µm). as well as the alkaloid levels was (1.29 g). The results of the variance analysis showed that chicken manure had a significant effect on the index of chlorophyll levels, alkaloid levels, length and width of stomata but had no significant effect in number of stomata. Based on the results of LSD test showed that chicken manure influenced the increasing of the chlorophyll levels index, alkaloid levels and stomata characters of chili pepper plants (Capsicum annum L.) and significantly different from the treatment of goat manure, cow manure and control.
