Nowadays, the demand for egg consumption is increasing every year. The improved production process also makes the sorting and packaging process must be accelerated or reproduced. The purpose of this research is to design an automatic egg size identification tool based on an infrared sensor with a compact shape and accuracy analysis of the machine identification of chicken egg size with an infrared sensor that has been made. This system will use Arduino Uno ATmega328P as a data processor from infrared sensors using Arduino IDE software for the egg identification process. Two SHARP infrared sensors of type GP2Y0A41SK0F are used as the primary measuring instrument. The sensor will measure the length and width of the chicken eggs to identify the size of the egg. As a benchmark in determining its size, the Indonesian National Standardization Agency regulates the egg weight. Arduino UNO as a data processor, will receive a voltage output signal from the infrared sensor and then process the voltage results to size and display the identification results by the indicators programmed on the microcontroller. The results will be displayed on the 16x2 LCD in hands SMALL, MEDIUM, and LARGE.
