Concrete is a composite material composed of aggregate and cement mortar as a binding material. Concrete has high compressive strength but low tensile strength. The addition of fibres in concrete can increase the ductility of structures before failure, inhibit the growth of cracks and improve the durability of concrete. This study examines the effect of fibre addition on the compressive strength of steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC). The fibre used is steel fibre with hooked ends and with a ratio l/d of 67,7. The percentages of fiber content studied in this research are 0%, 0,1%, 0,2%, 0,3%, 0,5%, 0,75%, 1%, and 1,5%. This study indicates that the addition of steel fibres in concrete can increase the compressive strength of concrete, which is proportional to the amount of fibre added. A linear model is proposed for estimating the effect of fibre on the compressive strength of SFRC.
