Online learning platform using Canva: An alternative experience to optimize the learning process in the class

Since its first discovery early in 2020, up to now, the pandemic of Covid-19 is not over yet. Thus, online platforms become an essential part in our daily life, including education. The sudden change of face-to-face method into online learning requires a numerous effort to make sure students achieved the greatest learning goals in their learning experiences. Universitas Negeri Medan, as one of leading university that offer teacher education programs, try to adapt these changes by developing and implementing an online learning platform called SIPDA (Online System Learning). This study aims to improve teaching-learning process of SIPDA using Canva. Canva is an online platform that offer features such as presentations, posters, and visual content. We will develop a learning module that combine the learning process using SIPDA and Canva. Elementary school teacher education students who take basic physics concept course participate in this project. We use Research and Development (R & D) to develop the module. The scientific attitude and motivation of students after using Canva-based modules will be discovered as indicators and parameters of suitable future IT/ICT media-based studies.
