This material covers the teaching of Applied Mechanics subject under the program of technological specialties. Applied Mechanics consists of separate courses, i.e. Theoretical mechanics, Strength of materials, Theory of mechanisms and machines, and Machine parts. The presented material on the methodology of teaching “Applied Mechanics” subject, as a general engineering subject, includes questions related to determination of purpose and objectives of the subject, the possibility of combining the studied courses by avoiding repetition of some topics. We tried to present teaching methods and forms of organizing classes; methodology for presenting new material; the structure of the textbook; preparation for classes; selection of a task for a practical lesson; organization of problem solving in the classroom; analysis, decoding and recording of the conditions of the problem. Approximate flow diagram for calculating the worm shaft, computer training technology and research methodology are given.
