The article is devoted to the establishment of a system of interrelated general and private pedagogical principles that contribute to the formation of the telecommunications competence of future specialists of the natural science profile within the framework of professional education as a systemic quality of personality that determines their readiness for a special form of professional activity and life in the information society, including knowledge of telecommunications technologies, forms, norms, rules and traditions of information exchange by its carriers, work in telecommunications networks; ability to develop independently in the field of telecommunications technologies, assimilation of large amounts of new information, forecasting results when solving problems in the field of professional activity; skills of transmitting, receiving, storing, encoding, protecting, analyzing, transforming, generating information. The authors interpret the concept of "principle" as a basis, a rule that provides a basis from which they proceed and are guided in the implementation of a particular activity and under pedagogical principles they understand certain basic provisions from which they propose to proceed in the organization of the educational process and which are a form of systematization of knowledge that allows making some theoretical constructions and their use in the field of organizing the process of student’s personality development. In the context of the proposed research, the pedagogical principle acts as a methodological knowledge about the organization of interaction between the teaching staff and students in the process of forming the latter’s telecommunications competence.
