This paper aims to reveal e-books as a medium for increasing public literacy regarding solar energy as an environmentally friendly energy source. This research is part of a series of Research and Development (R & D). The results of this study include (1) basic competence analysis, (2) flow chart of solar energy e-book development, (3) mapping of solar energy e-book content (4) expert validation results related to the feasibility of e-book as learning. This study concludes that solar energy e-books can be used as alternative media to increase public literacy related to solar energy.
