This study aims to implement a decision-making approach in selecting electric generators in manufacturing companies. The first step is to compile a set of criteria that is matched with the company's preferences. The next step is to apply the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine the weight of the criteria using the pairwise comparison. Furthermore, simple additive weighting (SAW) is used to select the best alternative using quantitative data. The study was conducted at a manufacturing company engaged in textile in Indonesia. The results showed that there were six criteria used to select electric generators: price, capacity, reliability, maintenance costs, ease of service and durability. The application of this approach has been able to help decision makers in the group decision-making process effectively. Besides that, the results of this study have been able to utilize qualitative and quantitative data to produce the best solution in the selection of alternatives.
