Mathematical connection ability is one of the abilities that must be possessed by every student so that they connect mathematical material with everyday life. The purpose of this research is to describe the ability of students' mathematical connections in solving the mathematics problems of the two-variable linear equation system based on Gender. The stages of the research were (1) giving test questions mathematics two-variable inear quation system for each male and female student(2) describe students' connection abilities based on the results of the subject's answer sheets and interviews, (4) perform time triangulation, namely giving test questions two-variable linear equation system and interviews with each student interview at different times, and (5) conclude mathematical connection ability students in solving mathematics problems two-variable inear quation system. There are three indicators of mathematical connection ability used in this study, namely connections between mathematical topics, connections with fields of science other than mathematics, and connections with everyday life. The results of this study indicate that male subjects have high mathematical connection abilities on indicators of connection with fields of science other than mathematics and indicators of connections between mathematics topics, while female subjects have high mathematical connection skills on indicators of connections between mathematics topics and connection indicators with fields of study science other than math.
