Theoretical studies of the reliability of gear mechanisms are the basis for laboratory testing of machine components. Designs of gear mechanisms shall meet all the necessary quality requirements. The calculation of the reliability indicators of the gear mechanism of a two-stage gearbox of KGT-4RS hybrid road-rail backhoe loader will allow to find the probability of no-failure operation PH by the criterion of contact fatigue resistance. The purpose of the study is to carry out a theoretical calculation of the reliability indicators of the gear mechanism of a two-stage gearbox of KGT-4RS hybrid road-rail backhoe loader. The object of the study is the reliability of the gear mechanism of a two-stage gearbox of KGT-4RS hybrid road-rail backhoe loader. Scientific novelty of the paper. Application of theoretical studies of the reliability of the gear mechanism of the two-stage gearbox of KGT-4RS hybrid road-rail backhoe loader will increase in the future percentage PN during additional laboratory tests. Practical Significance of the Study. The method for calculating the coefficients of variation, the quantile of the normal distribution and the probability of failure-free operation by the criterion of contact fatigue resistance will allow engineers to improve the design and operating parameters of the gear mechanism, increase the life of the two-stage gearbox of the KGT-4RS machine to the maximum.
