This research aimed to develop a flipbook based on problem-based learning (PBL) to bolster student critical thinking (CT) skills. This research follows the development path of the ADDIE model. Flipbook trial based on PBL on ten students in public high school. All students were in class XI science. Data collection uses validation sheets, ten multiple-choice critical thinking tests, and student response questionnaires. This research has found that flipbook based on PBL was valid by experts (97.5% by the media expert and 89.77% by the material expert), bolstering student CT skills (the mean student CT skills was reached 74), and gets an excellent response from students (the mean student response was 84). This research shows that the flipbook based on PBL that was developed can be used to bolster the CT skills of students. This research is limited to a limited-scale trial. The effectiveness test can be carried out in further research to reveal how flipbooks based on PBL can bolster student CT skills.
