Pesticides used to control pests and diseases in agriculture have a deleterious effect on the photosynthetic activity of the plants. SAAF (Carbendazim 12% +Mancozeb 63% WP) and DuPont, Curzate M8 (cymoxanil 8%+mancozeb 64%) are systemic and contact fungicides that are effective across a range of crops and diseases. Folicur (Tebuconazole 250 EC (25.9% w/w)) acts as a systemic fungicide and has a protective as well as a curative effect on plants. This study reports the effect of foliar application in different concentrations of these fungicides on photosynthetic pigments in the infected leaves of Sorghum bicolor, Lycopersicon esculentum, and Ficus carica plants. The optimum fungicide dosages for maximum chlorophyll (a, b, Total) content at SAAF 20ppm for Sorghum bicolor, Lycopersicon esculentum, and Folicur 20 ppm for Ficus carica were identified.
