Indonesia is known as a moderate to high seismicity region. Thus, Indonesian Standard for building seismic design (SNI 1726-2019) has been released for immediate implementation. However, the Indonesian standard is based on the elastic analysis, which does not represent the actual behavior of the building. The main goal of this study is to evaluate the seismic performance of the buildings seismically designed using the Indonesian standard. The nonlinear pushover analysis is carried out to study the nonlinear behavior of the building during an earthquake. The results show that the buildings have sufficient capacity to resist the earthquake load with life safety performance level.
