Due to the developments and increasing the manufacturing processes, the number of vehicles increased, especially smart ones, and for the purpose of reducing accidents and the dangers resulting from vehicle collisions with each other or with pedestrians. It has become necessary to create a system of communication between the vehicles themselves and the external environment through the Internet, hence the need for the Internet of vehicles (IoV), which is part of the Internet of’ Things (IoT). By connecting (VANETs) with the Internet of Things, we can expand the possibilities of (IoT). Internet of vehicles (IoV) communicates between vehicles and public network and involves communication between vehicles and human, sensors and vehicles. (IoV) architecture involves four significant layers. This paper introduced also the most effective challenges and issues of (IoV) system and it's applications.
