Shorebirds are organisms that can become models or subjects of ecosystem research to illustrate ecological principles in coastal areas. The research was conducted in Ambon Bay, an area with high human activity. Knowing the species and types of food will help protect shorebirds. This study aimed to analyze the types and potential of food for shorebirds in the Ambon Bay area. Calculation of the number of species using the concentration point count method. Shorebird prey was collected using the core and sieve. The study results found foraging activities of six species of birds that can be grouped into 3 families, namely Ardeidae, Scolopacidae, and Phalacrocoracidae. The results of the analysis of the ecological index obtained a diversity index of 1.54, dominance 0.25, and an evenness of 0.86. Polychaeta, bivalves, gastropods, crustaceans, and pisces are thought to be food for shorebirds in Ambon Bay.
