Virtual Museum for Malaysian Traditional Weapons (VMMTW) has been developed to produce a simple but complete virtual museum about Malaysian traditional weapons through Virtual Reality (VR) technology. Only a few virtual museums describe the traditional weapons and in 2-Dimentional (2D) presentation. Most of the artefacts in real museum can only be display as the way it is placed. Visitors cannot explore and view the artefacts from different sides and angles. VMTMW delivers an immersive virtual environment that makes users feels being presence in the virtual environment as if the users are being in a real-life weapons museum. It also provides the global community with the knowledge of Malaysian Traditional Weapons and preserve the values of these artefacts from being forgotten in the future. The museum consists of a website with 3-Dimensional (3D) artificial traditional weapons artefacts, manipulation capabilities, walkthroughs, and valuable information. It provides knowledge of two different categories of weapons which are Sword and Knife. This VR museum is hoped to promote the virtual heritage, interactive content, and information through VR technology.
