Nowadays challenges for ensuring an environmental friendly transportation system implies, we may say primarily, improving the railway quality and efficiency by taking account of modeling and simulation formalisms available for network analysis should be able to perform analysis of railway networks, provided that segment attributes and data base structures can be modified in a dynamic framework. The rethinking of the concept of railway will often start with a redesign of functional network optimization, i.e. how to adjust the railway concepts, the circulation of railway vehicles. An example of modeling railway systems using discrete event formalisms, i.e. Ramadge - Wonham formalism is presented and further development path of our approach is also mentioned in the last section of the article.
