Proving is a central part of mathematics. Therefore math students should master this skill. Previous research has discussed the difficulties faced by students in doing the proving. The difficulties bound to create errors in doing the proving. Geometry is one of the subjects of math students which strongly related to the proving activities. This research is intended to find out the errors made by first year math students in geometry proving. This research is a descriptive research with qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were students majoring in math batch 2020 Universitas Negeri Malang. The data in this research was obtained from Geometry Proving Test. The results of data analysis show that generally students start to make errors on the stage of skill processing that led to another mistake in the next stage, namely coding.
