During the pandemic, online learning activities were conducted. Even though Learning Management System (LMS) becomes one of the most used for learning activities, not all students can use it due to some reasons. So, they tend to learn by themselves. Self-learning during a pandemic is common and it leads to an opening chance for misconception. This study aims to describe the profile learning media development students need to prevent misconceptions during self-study study in a pandemic condition. The participant of these research was 186 high school students. This research was carried out by survey method using instrument consist of three media's development aspect as a questionnaire. Research results were analyzed descriptive and obtained the student perspectives toward developing learning media profiles to prevent misconceptions. Most students have preconceptions that must be prevented by applying the help to describe chemical processes that occur at the sub-microscopic level and linking learning to everyday life. Meanwhile, the teachers and schools efforts indicate that there is a school-made misconception that stems from the difficulty of students using teaching materials during self-study in this pandemic. The teacher's role in utilizing game-based and electronic-based learning media to insert content with multiple representations is not yet optimal. That is why needs to developing learning media to prevent student's misconceptions in learning chemistry concepts.
