The project "Design of a system to prevent the speeding of Electric Vehicles (EV) under speed restricted sites" aims to control the speed of an electric vehicle when it enters a speed restricted site and violates the legal speed limit. When the vehicle enters the speed local area, the implemented system will alert the driver regarding his speed limit violation. Then the acceleration of the scooter would be limited to 30km/hr. Manual control of speed will only be provided when the vehicle's speed is below the area's speed limit. The controlling is done with the help of an RF receiver placed inside the scooter and a transmitter part placed at the site that needs speed regulation. This system also contains a speedometer to measure the current speed of the vehicle. To avoid problems while the scooter is used for emergency cases (for example, in in-hospital patients, an emergency switch is provided to tum off the system manually. To avoid misuse when a driver is found, consequently triggering the emergency switch, a message will be sent to the motor vehicle department, and appropriate legal actions would be taken.
