Memory or retention is one of the important factors in determining the success of student learning. Memory plays a role in producing good quality learning. This study aims to determine the description of the defense of students' science retention in the Vibration and Wave material taught in class VIII semester 2. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The research data were obtained from learning outcomes questions which were given repeatedly 3 times in the same time interval. The data from this research were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis using exponential graphs which would later produce exponential equations. The population in this study were 8 classes in Class VIII. The research sample in this study were 3 classes in class VIII, namely VIII A, VIII B, and VIII C. The results obtained from this study were that a steep graph was obtained with the exponential equation y=60.134e−0.062x. Student retention drops sharply from the first week to the third week. Students have not been able to maintain their retention of Vibration and Wave material through the application of learning models commonly used in these science subjects. The exponential power value which has a negative value explains that every week there has been a continuous decline in students' memory of the science knowledge they have acquired. This decrease is due to the fact that the learning process used has not included many of the five senses in its acquisition and there is no simultaneous repetition of the knowledge that has been obtained by students.
