The ability to recognize the concept of numbers which is part of the counting material is a crucial mathematical skill for children. The concept is needed in everyday life and prepares them to be ready to attend further education. However, introducing the concept of numbers to children requires a fun way because the quality of educational mathematical methods greatly impacts children’s interests and achievements. This study aims to develop mathematics learning media in the form of ‘giant snakes and ladder’ media to introduce the concept of numbers to children 4-5 years old. This present study uses a Research and Development (R & D) approach. The development model used is the 4-D model, which consists of define, design, development, and dissemination. The results showed that the average validation from the expert of media, material, linguist, and effectiveness was in the proper category with good predicates according to eligibility criteria and product revisions. Therefore, the snake and ladder media deserves to be used as an interactive learning media in introducing the concept of numbers to early childhood.
