A method for mathematical modeling of pyrolysis of a low-melting solid hydrocarbon material (SHM) in a flow of hot inert gas is proposed. The method is based on solving the conjugate problem of interphase heat transfer with the equations of gas motion solved in the SHM channel and the equation of thermal conductivity solved in the SHM body. In calculations, the changes of SHM channel shape were obtained depending on the gas temperature and time. The results of calculations are shown to be in good agreement with experimental data.
